Freeride lovers know the feeling of the untouched snow early in the morning? Can you imagine anything better? But we all know that freeride skiing can be dangerous and the risks are different than what you could expect from piste skiing or the snowpark.
Therefore it's crucial to have the right equipment, to ensure to be safe for us and the others.
Off-piste skiing means no ski patrols, uneven terrain and obstacles. When packing for a freeride trip, you need to be sure you have all the essential items and protective gear.

What is essential?

In addition to your skis, ski boots, you need to make sure that your clothing items are suitable for the weather conditions of the area you are going to ski. Ski jackets and pants should always be breathable and waterproof, to keep  you warm but preventing you from sweating at the same time.
A ski helmet and a back protector are essential to avoid injuries, and a good pair of ski goggles will help you against the snow, wind and different light conditions.
You might want to look for a good skiing backpack, to bring your essential items with you will off piste.

Make sure your equipment fits well, in order to be 100% protected and never go off piste alone.
